*Winter Ultimate Frisbee Is Coming*
Don't let the winter chill get the better of you... enjoying the sun, fun & friends playing on the beach!
We are now taking registrations for Teams & Individuals to play in our Winter Ultimate Frisbee Season.
Coed 7 v 7 Ultimate is played on Huntington Beach at 14th Street. Games are held on Saturday mornings between 10:00 and 2:00. Each week your team has a 1 hour game, then everyone in the league heads to our sponsor bar for an afternoon of refreshments & social fun!
The Registration Deadline is November 30, 2008. Games begin on December 6. Please visit the "Ultimate Frisbee " link under "Sports" in the navigation bar for more details. Don't forget to go to the "Registration" link to get yourself or a team signed up!
Ultimate is game of movement! You pass the disc amongst your teammates in any direction attempting to progress down the field to cross the endline for a score. If you have never played before, Ultimate is very much like rugby without the physical contact! All the rule are carefully set up to get everyone involved in a Safe and Fun game based on Great Sportsmanship!
Ultimate:
Registration: NOW through November 30
Late Registration: December 1 - December 13 (15% additional charge)
Game times: 10:00 - 2 (1hr games)
Free Play Day: December 6 (pick up games to learn the rules & help form teams)
Season: Decmber 20 through Feb. 22 (several hoildays off)
Cost: $60 per player

We are organizing a Holiday Charity Benefit for "Toys For Tots" and "The OC Food Bank". This event will be a 1 weekend Coed 2 Hand Touch Football Tournament held on the weekend of Dec 13 & 14. Games will be played on Huntington Beach to the South side of the pier.
Coed 8 v 8 Two Hand Touch Football is organized to be safe & fun for everyone. 1 out of every 3 plays must use a female player as the opporative player in the play & 2 completions earns a first down. Each team will have at least 3 One Hour Games stretching over the weekend with plenty of time in between to enjoy the ammenities of Downtown HB. Sponsor business will have side attractions & parties for all to enjoy!

Either fill out the web based form or see the link on the Left side of the page for a pdf download that can be printed to email or snail mail.
All league fees are paid by cash or check & must be received before you are officially registered! Take note of the registration deadlines. Payment MUST be received by the sport deadline!
Our Mission
The Orange County SSC creates year-round opportunities for individuals to play a variety of team sports in a social atmosphere that continues into happy hours and lasts long after the games are over. Orange County SSC members are encouraged not to take winning or losing too seriously; they know that the social aspects of the league are more important than a win or a loss. Remember, the Orange County SSC motto is: “for people who enjoy sports, but love to socialize.”
How To Get Involved
1) Team Registration
- You do not need your full team @ registration (add players until week 2).
- Print the team registration form (pdf) and mail it in with your $200 deposit.
- OCSSC can help fill your roster with individual registrants.
- Recruit your players (@ $60 ea. it takes 4 to cover your deposit).
- When your roster is full turn in your team balance & roster sheet.
- On Game Day - begin your "Road to the Championship".
2) Individual Registration
- OCSSC helps you find a team.
- You could be places on a team that requests more players.
- You could be placed on a team of all Individual registrants.
- Print the Individual registration form (pdf) and mail it in with the $60 fee.
- As teams are formed you will be told what team you are on.
